Is there a chance Boxbrawl Delivery is going to be on Steam?

What are some similar retro games with this level of quality?

I'm trying to play the new 1.6 version, I click on "play" and it says it's running but it doesn't start. I try running the .exe file directly (even as an administrator) and it will still not start. I check in the task manager and it says the game is running as a "background process" instead of as an app. Any way to fix this? ...

When you start the game, a white "grid" of sorts shows before the game starts. I'm aware that this occurs on real arcade machines, and i was wondering why it happens.
